Our first decision was about how far we wanted to go in this evolving digital world. It seemed wise not to invoice in Bitcoin or manage conversion into ‘fiat currency’ (GBP) ourselves, for example. This meant finding a reputable intermediary to handle the billing transaction: a process not made easy because of the widespread lack of regulation around cryptos. But some benchmarking was possible, such as discovering what regulations different potential intermediaries submitted themselves to. Regulation exists in New York, for instance.
