Over the past decade, the International Fashion Jewelry and Accessory Group has become very good at what it does best: Showcasing fashion jewelry and accessories in unique, individualized settings where manufacturers, importers and sales representatives can meet one-on-one with as many as 2,000 wholesale and volume buyers from the United States and around the globe. Once again this year, the non-profit, member-owned IFJAG will choose the privacy of hotels rather than sprawling exhibit halls-allowing exhibitors to display their offerings in individual rooms throughout five floors, instead of the booth-based floor plans of traditional trade shows. "We cater to wholesalers and volume buyers," says director Michael Gale. "They appreciate the privacy and individual attention this format allows." In addition to Warwick, R.I., this year's new locations include New York and Orlando, Fla. (see listing below for more details). Gale notes that in future seasons, a West Coast site is also a possibility.
