2010 AMLE REVIEWERS' WORKSHOP

Due to its highly successful debut in Chicago, AMLE will be sponsoring a workshop for current and aspiring manuscript reviewers during the 2010 Academy of Management meetings. The workshop likely will be on Friday, August 6 (check the conference program for official dates and times). Since most management scholars do not receive training in learning and education research as part of their doctoral experiences, they often are unfamiliar with both the theoretical and methodological approaches used in learning and education research. Also, since AMLE essays have a different format and approach than most management scholarship and often address provocative issues or emerging topics for future research, reviewers often are inexperienced with critiquing these types of manuscripts.
