Integrated printing and cutting is viable, although continued research and technology development is required to support mainstream adoption for apparel and upholstered furniture manufacturing. Developments in ink chemistry and cutting technology are paving the way. Integration is further supported by development of production-oriented digital print systems to provide an efficient method for on-demand production of printed textile products.
