1-Year chronic periodontitis non-surgical treatment: comparison of upper and lower teeth probing depth reduction level

Introduction: Periodontitis presents complex bacterial biofilms and multifactorial mechanisms, being its management a major challenge [1–3]. Throughout periodontitis treatment period, patients’ oral hygiene habits play a key role on periodontal therapy success. The aim of this study was to assess pocket depth (PD) variation levels of upper and lower teeth at 3, 6 and 12 months’ follow-up in patients that underwent non-surgical periodontal treatment.
