A variety of patient characteristics drive the use of electroconvulsivetherapy (ECT) in depression. However, the extent to which eachcharacteristic influences the receipt of ECT, and whether they areappropriate, is unknown. The aim of this study is to identify patient-levelcharacteristics associated with receiving inpatient ECT for depression.
