摘要

Clavicle fractures are relatively common, representing 2.6% to 10% of all fractures [1, 4]. Digging deeper, midshaft clavicle fractures account for approximately 69% to 81% of all clavicle fractures [4]. Recent studies suggesting an improvement in shoulder function and a lower likelihood of malunion and nonunion following operative fixation of displaced clavicular shaft fractures when compared to non-operative treatment, have stimulated an increased interest in fixation of these fractures [1, 7].
