That sheep may safely graze: Rebuilding animal health care in war-torn Afghanistan

As a consultant to OIE (The World Organisation for Animal Health) I’ve had the pleasure of working with David Sherman of OIE’s Capacity Building Department, where he manages programs on veterinary education, veterinary para professionals, veterinary legislation, and other activities related to strengthening the veterinary services of OIE member countries. Dr. Sherman’s support for the development of leadership and management skills and his innovative thinking about the role and training of community-based veterinary paraprofessionals are amongst his important contributions.
