摘要

New 2017 blood pressure (BP) guidelines were released by the American Heart Association and the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). As a result, the population prevalence of high BP (levels consistent with elevated BP or stage 1 or 2 hypertension) in US adults increased from 32 to 46%, with a corresponding increase from 11.8 to 14.2% in children aged 5-18y based on NHANES data.
