Turoctocog alfa pegol (N8-GP) comprises two distinct moieties with differing pharmacokinetic characteristics. The 40-kDa PEG moiety is attached to an -linked glycan in the 21-amino acid truncated B domain of rFVIII (turoctocog alfa). Upon activation, the B domain harbouring the PEG moiety is cleaved from the rFVIII molecule, leaving two separate molecules with different half-lives (i.e. the free PEG and the activated rFVIII molecule) [ ]. polyethylene glycol, recombinant factor VIII
