Thermal burns during pregnancy are rare but require particular attention owing to the fact that they affect the maternal and foetal prognosis. Two observations are reported, illustrating the gravity of this association. The treatment of burns in pregnancy changes in relation to the anatomical and physiological modifications of gestation. Certain recommendations have been made, such as the early treatment of venous thrombosis and obstetric monitoring with induced labour when the final term approaches. Maternal and perinatal death increases significantly when the burned body surface exceeds 50%. A multidisciplinary taking in charge is therefore indispensable. Burn prognosis in expectant mothers remains a very reserved matter, whence the interest in multidisciplinary therapy requiring the contemporary attention of obstetrician, reanimator, and plastic surgery technician.
