Analysis of Patients with Acute Toxic Exposure between 2009 and 2013: Data from the Korea Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service and the National Emergency Department Information System

BackgroundAccording to domestic studies, patients visiting the emergency departments (ED) with acute toxic exposure comprise 0.68%–5.5% of all ED patients, with various causes and motives. The purpose of this study is to investigate the clinical and social characteristics of patients with toxic exposure visiting the ED.
