IntroductionBronchopulmonary sequestration (BPS) may cause prenatal pleural effusion (PE) or even hydrops. This case describes a fetus presenting with severe PE, which prenatally waned completely under steroid treatment, yet surprisingly reappeared rapidly after birth, requiring early surgical intervention.
