Using a Level III Interactive Video approach, this project employs an in-house videodisc recorder to create radiologic imagebases which are accessed under the control of a database management system. This demonstration shows the broad scope of applications that can be created using a videodisc recorder and the management of large imagebases using a database system. Comparison is made with commercial videodisc pressing and with authoring systems. Features such as the use of a classification system as a lookup table, graphics created using a Targa board, and linking to sets of normal images will be shown.
