AimsThe role of magnesium (Mg) intake in the prevention and treatment of diseases is greatly debated. Mg biodistribution after chronic Mg supplementation was investigated, using state-of-the-art technology to detect changes in free ionized Mg, both at extra- and intracellular levels.
