Finger injuries in a developing sport: cachibol (Newcomb Ball)

BackgroundCachibol (also known as Newcomb ball) is a team ball game with characteristics similar to volleyball. Cachibol is becoming increasingly popular, particularly among middle-age women, and is now the fastest growing female sport in our country. Despite its growing popularity, there is a lack of information about the epidemiology of injuries incurred from this activity. The purpose of this study is to describe the incidence and pattern of finger injuries among female cachibol players competing in a 3-day tournament.
