摘要

In 2017, AJPH launched a new section on “Climate Change and Health Justice,” reflecting growing evidence of the near-term effects of climate change on public health and the substantial disparities in those effects. I had the honor of succeeding Michelle Bell, PhD, as associate editor of this section after accepting this position in February 2020 and starting officially in July 2020. Between those dates, the world of public health (and the world itself) changed, and we will be grappling with the consequences on physical and mental health for many years to come. Although the core emphasis of this section is unchanged, the pertinent topics and their framing has, by necessity, shifted dramatically from how they were considered previously.
