Dear editor,Most superior mesenteric artery (SMA) dissections occuralongwithaorticdissections;isolatedSMA dissectionsarerare(incidencerateof0.06%).[1] A diagnosis of SMA dissection is generally made using contrast-enhancedcomputedtomography(CECT);however, bedside point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS)may hasten the process. Herein, we present a case series of isolated SMA dissections that were suspected and confirmed using POCUS and CECT, respectively.
