The topic of" Women, environment and sustainable development" is a new one in the change of century. Raising women’s position and strengthening their equal participation have been considered as key factors for solving global environmental problems and realizing sustainable development. This paper has reviewed the cause and development of the topics, analysed the relation between women and environment & sustainable development, then raised suggestions on promoting Chinese women to take part in sustainable development.
