In women with polycystic ovary syndrome, C- reactive protein levels and D- dimer, antithrombin III, activated protein C resistance, and activated partial thromboplastin timewere unaffected by metformin treatment throughout pregnancy. C-reactive protein levels increased slightly in the metformin group compared with the placebo group.
