Restricted by many factors like planning compilation, financial fund, investment entities, implementation &management bodies, development policy, construction sequence, laws and regulations, etc., the construction and operation of cross-city rail transit is very complex. The construction of Guangzhou-Foshan cross-city rail transit is started from the existing Guangzhou-Foshan Railway, this large-scale construction and operation of trans-administration railway is the first case in China.
