@@ Falciparum malaria is a major cause of mortality and morbidity amongst the indigenous as well as the expatriate population in Atica. Malaria prevention is based on health education regarding the seriousness of malaria, the several previous studies have however indicated that expatriates seem to ignore this advice in spite of being aware of the threat of malaria.
