New Opportunity for RMB Internationalization in the Post-COVID-19 Period

Progress of RMB internationalization In the aftermath of the 2008 global financial crisis,the Chi­nese government has begun vigorously to internationalize the RMB.In the past 11 years,these endeavors have yielded con­siderable progress,yet have experienced the periodic change from rapid development to stagnation.Such perspectives as cross-border RMB settlement,offshore market development,and bilateral currency swaps offer better insights into the cur­rent progress of RMB internationalization.
