The core issue of China’s economic reform is to keep a balance between government and market.Their roles have been finetuned and improved in the four decades since the reform and opening up in 1978.At first sight,the functions of the government and that of the market seem to be waning and waxing;essentially,their relationship has been constantly adjusted and bettered during the market-oriented reform.
