China's free trade zone (FTZ) is a special area set up by the Chinese government to further expand the opening up,improve the open economic system,draw lessons from international experience,and carry out free trade and production and management activities outside the jurisdiction of customs.The Shanghai FTZ,which was established in 2013,is the first FTZ in China.Although the construction of the FTZs has promoted China's economic development effectivelg there are also some problems in docking with national strategies,driving regional economic development,and evaluating the effectiveness of the FTZ construction.
