As a result of the on-going implementation of China’s opening policy, more and more foreign business people have begun to make Sichuan, the place of choice for investment. Sichuan is now seen, in the west China, as a promising place for investment. Figures show that foreignfunded enterprises in this province now total 6, 740; the foreign capital investment being 2. 74 billion US dollars. To further improve the investment environment, the Provincial Government has simplified procedures, and regulations to offer better and more efficient services, thereby leading to more profitable business for the foreign investors.
