In considering society transformation, technological progress and new competitive situation, the paper point out that from the strategic perspective, telecommunication networks will exhibit new development course which is characterized by convergent, broadening, ubiquitous and green tendency. In the following part, the paper outlined likely development trends and perspectives in above four aspects and presented major challenges in a little more details.
