@@ In 1952, Lortat-Jacob and Robert first described themaneuver for right hepatectomy to reduce blood lossfrom the liver cross-sectional surface in transecting theparenchyma by preliminary dissection of the hepatic hilus,ligating and dividing of the corresponding vessels and ducts,which was known as anatomical hepatectomy or classicalhepatectomy. The maneuver has been widely used in Chinasince 1950s.
