人类身心的垂护使者——药师佛——兼论药师佛的现代意义

摘要

The Four Noble Truths including the truth of suffering,the truth of the origin of suffering,the truth of the cessation of suffering and the truth of the path to the cessation of suffering are the basic understanding of Buddhism to the human life. It formed its own theory on the basis of the four - good - knowledge and became the fundamental guiding principle of Buddhist medicine system. A belief of the Medicine Buddha is a unique Buddhist worship form that worships the Medicine Buddha. The oriental Medicine Buddha aims at resolving the three pains in human life. The beliet focuses on the most basic demands and the lowest de- sire to survival, so it has an endless vitality and becomes human demands for a long and better life spiritually.%苦、集、灭、道四谛是佛教对人生的根本认识。“四谛”在借鉴了“四善知”的思想后建立了自己的理论认识，又成为佛教医学体系的根本指导思想。药师佛信仰是以崇拜药师佛为特点的一种佛教特有的崇拜形式。东方药师佛旨在解决人生在世时出现的生老病之三大苦，药师佛对人间的疾病有深入洞察，旨在为人类解除痛苦。药师佛信仰由于契合了人类生存的最基本要求及人类生存的最低欲望，就具有了无尽的生命力，也成为人类精神世界的永远诉求，是人们延续生命、提高生命质量的直接愿望。
