In gateway of caving face, wide barrier pillars are commonly used. Keeping the stability of roadways,abundantcoalresourcesarewasted.Gob-sideentrydrivingcouldeffectivelyreducethewidth, then increase recovery rate, and save the coal resources. In Guozhuang Coal Co., Ltd., Lu'an Group, the gateway on the No. 1 mining area adopted the traditional barrier pillar width to protect the roadway;when arriving to the No.2 mining area, the barrier pillar of the gob-side entry driving was used. The paper compared the two approaches, which is useful for other mines.%回采工作面顺槽多采用留设宽煤柱护巷的方式,在保护巷道稳定性的同时,也损失了大量煤炭资源。利用沿空掘巷技术可以有效地缩小顺槽护巷煤柱的留设宽度,从而提高采区回采率、节约大量煤炭资源。山西潞安郭庄煤业有限责任公司矿井一采区工作面顺槽采用传统的留设宽煤柱的护巷方式;生产采区接替至二采区后,工作面顺槽采用沿空掘巷的护巷煤柱留设方式。文章通过两种方式的技术对比对该问题进行分析探讨与研究,对其它矿井同样具有借鉴意义。
