The paper introduces the working principles of high pressure water blast cutting technique,analyzes its characteristics and technical advantages,and discusses its application technology in building decoration by stone mosaic medallion selection,processing and construction technology,with a view to promote its application.%对高压水流切割技术的工作原理作了介绍，分析了其特性及技术优势，从水刀石材拼花的选材、加工、施工工艺等施工环节，论述了高压水流切割技术在建筑装饰中的应用，以促进其推广应用。
