Fourty two cases of muscular rheumatism were treated by long needle. Acupoints were selected according to “diagnosis based on overall analysis of meridian and treatment based on an overall analysis of symptoms ans signs”. Consequently 26 were cured,11 were significantly effective,4 were effective and 1 was ineffective. The total effective rate was 97.61%. It shows that such treatment has satisfactory therapeutical effect and deserves popularizing.
