Social network embeddedness has a significant impact on new venture growth. However, there is a paradox a-bout the mechanism of how new venture's social network embeddedness impacts on its growth. Take embedded representatives variables as networks of entrepreneurs entrepreneurs network size, this paper constructs a theory model of entrepreneur social network embeddedness, entrepreneurial orientation and new venture growth. The data is from questionnaire of 172 new ventures in China. The empirical results are as follows: the relationship between horizontal entrepreneur social network size and new venture growth is moderated negatively by entrepreneurial orientation; the relationship between vertical entrepreneur social network size and new venture growth is moderated positively by entrepreneurial orientation. The main contributions of the paper are: taking entrepreneurial orientation as a moderating variable in empirical study and constructing a theory model among entrepreneur social network, enterprise environment and enterprise performance.%网络嵌入对创业型企业的成长具有重要意义,但现有文献研究结论的差异体现了相关作用机制尚有待于进一步明晰.以企业家网络规模作为企业家网络嵌入性的代表变量,把企业家网络嵌入、企业创业导向和创业型企业成长绩效三者结合起来,运用172家创业型企业数据,实证研究多因素交互作用下创业导向对企业家网络嵌入性与创业型企业成长绩效之间关系的影响.结果显示,企业创业导向负向调节企业家横向网络规模与创业型企业成长绩效之间的关系,企业创业导向正向调节企业家纵向网络规模与创业型企业成长绩效之间的关系.理论贡献主要在于将创业导向作为调节变量引入实证研究,并构建了一个反映企业家网络、企业环境与企业绩效三者作用关系的理论模型.
