89 1-24 Sulfur-Resistant Titanium Oxide BasedCatalysts for Deep Oxidation The poisonous effect ofSO2 on Ti-Cu. Ti-Mn oxides catalysts for the deepoxidation of toluene was investigated by means of infraredspectroscopy and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. It wasfound that the poisoning of the catalyst at lower temperaturewas caused by the SO2 adsorption, and the activity of thepoisoned catalyst could be regenerated.
