ALTERATION PATTERNS OF FLUORESCENCE INTENSITY OF MINERAL-BITUMINOUS GROUNDMASS IN OIL SOURCE ROCKS AND ITS RELATIONSHIP WITH MATURATION LEVEL
<正> Having investigated the detailed fluorescence characteristics of a mineral-bituminous groundmass ofthe typical oil source rocks in China, the author finds out that the fluorescence intensity and theparameters of fluorescence spectrum used as maturation parameters are very limited since they are af-fected,to a great extent,by clay minerals, but that the fluorescence intensity alteration patterns have agood relation with the maturation level. On the basis of this, the two new parameters, the fluorescence in-tensity alteration gradient(Pi)and the alteration ratio(Xp),are established to evaluate the oil source rocks. The importance of this method is that it compensates the lack of vitrinite reflectance(Rr),and helps tosolve the maturation level of the oil source rocks which are short of vitrinite and exinite, and determinesthe Kerogen types of source rocks by combining the components of macerals investigated undermicroscopy.
