Optimal waveform segmentation in strain estimation using correlating specificity

         

摘要

<正> The performance quality of the cross-correlation-based elastography technique is sensitive to the echo waveform segmentation size used in the correlation estimation. To quantify this performance characteristics, a new parameter, namely the correlating specificity (CS) is introduced and defined. Results suggest that a broad bandwidth transducer and a lower center frequency may provide a better performance (or correlation estimation, and also mdieate that with a compression ratio larger than 2.5% , the CS will be too small to recognize the tracing tissue segment from the echoes post-compression which is consistent with the observation by other investigators Expenmental results show that CS is a simple quantitative parameter for the evaluation of optimal segmentation size and the system parameter of elastography technique. The method can be used for development and evaluation of new techniques of elastography
