Pondering over Terrorist Attacks against the United States

On September 11,2001, the US homeland suffered the most serious attacks since the 'Pearl Har-bor Event'. The symbol of US economy--the World Trade Center was destroyed in one day; the sym-bol of US military strengtlT---the Pentagon inflicted heavy losses. Psychologically, what hurt the Ameri-cans most were really not those tangible buildings, but thousands of lives lost to the well-planned at-tacks.
