Based on reviewing the original literature of the Library Quarterly published by the National Library of BeiPing, this paper systematically explores its editing and publication, academic communication content and its historical significance. It believes that the journal has important historical significance, such as keeping academic and publication history at home and abroad, promoting academic research and the academic status of the National Library of BeiPing, advancing academic exchanges at home and abroad, developing academic talents, and enriching the library spirits.%在查阅国立北平图书馆编印的《图书季刊》原始文献的基础上，论文系统探讨其编辑出版情况、学术传播内容及其历史意义。认为：《图书季刊》在保存中外学术史和出版史资料、推动学术研究和提升国立北平图书馆的学术地位、推进国内外学术交流和培养学术人才、弘扬图书馆精神等方面，具有重要的历史意义。
