Combined with the example which the capacitor and series reactor was destroyed twice, the equipment selection, switching inrush current calculation and equipment material quality were analyzed, the failure reasons were found, and the measures were put forward. It can provide references for the electrical designers.%结合某变电站电容器组串联电抗器连续两次烧毁的实例，通过设备选型、合闸涌流计算及设备材质分析，找出故障原因，提出防范措施，供电气设计人员参考。
