In order to realize clean production, Anshan Steel is ac-tively carrying out the work of energy saving and discharge reduction based on its large-scale environmental protection infrastructure, to reduce the quantity of circulative water as well as fresh water consumption, increase the treatment capacity of the Xidagou wastewater treatment system and improve wastewater recovery rate. The company will strive to achieve the goal that all its discharged wastewater at least reaches the class-2 discharge standard by 2015, to lay a solid foundation for zero wastewater discharge in the long term.
