Firstly, the composition and rheological properties of MRF are analyzed. Secondly, the operating modes and applications of magneto-rheological fluids in mechanical engineering are presented in detail, such as in transmission, vibration, hydraulic systems, precision machining, flexible fixtures and mechanical seal etc. Finally, the problems of MRF in mechanical engineering are analyzed and the application prospects of MRF are discussed.%首先分析了磁流变液的构成及其流变特性;然后对磁流变液的工作模式及其在机械工程中的应用进行了详细的阐述,如磁流变液在传动、减振、液压系统、精密加工、柔性夹具、机械密封等方向的应用;最后分析了磁流变液在机械工程应用中存在的问题,并对其应用前景进行了展望.
