In order to clarify the role of asymmetry of mechanical structures in mechanical systems,the regular pattern of function evolution caused by asymmetry was studied.With systematic analysis of the asymmetry of a large number of mechanical structures,it was available to summarize the mode of occurrence and breaking mechanism in asymmetry of the mechanical structure for the elements including the main body,group component,reference and operation,and discuss the relation between the changes of four elements in structural asymmetry and the evolution of institutional functions which would lay a foundation for further studies on the application of structural asymmetry in mechanical systems.%为明确机械结构对称破缺在机械系统中的作用,研究了结构对称破缺引起的功能演变规律.对大量机械结构对称破缺实例进行了系统分析,总结了主体、组元、基准及操作等要素在机械结构对称破缺中的存在形式和破缺机理,探讨了结构对称破缺四大要素变化与机构功能演变规律之间的关系,为进一步研究结构对称破缺在机械系统中的应用规律奠定了基础.
