How to manage normal tools (normal size) and special tools (big size) effectively at the same tool storage was intro duced. The high speed vertical milling center VMC0645h was taken as an example. How to manage the special tools and to achieve rapid random tool changing by the combination of NC macro program and PLC program were expounded.
