Survey on bamboo resources in Pingyang county of Zhejiang province showed that there are 52 species of 11 genera, among them 30 species of 10 genera are native and 25 species of 5 genera are introduced (including varieties and forms). Sympodial and tree-dwelling bamboos are dominant in the county. And the bamboo flora was characterized with obvious tropical and temperate distributional pattern, indicating an interim for bamboo flora distribution which was close to the north-central flora in Fujian. According to the bamboo resources distribution, the county could be divided into two areas, one is sympodial bamboo zone in southeast and monopodial/amphipodial bamboos in northwest.%对平阳县的竹类资源调查表明,该区域有竹类资源11属52种,其中原生竹种有10属30种,外引竹种有5属25种(含变种、变型)；该区域竹类丛生竹种和乔木状竹种占相对优势地位,分布具有明显热带分布特点,兼有温带分布性质,显示竹类区系过渡性质,竹类区系更接近福建中北部区系类型；按竹子分布现状,该区竹子水平分布可划分为两小区,东南丛生竹区和西北散、昆竹区.
