The coupling agents content and thickness on glassfiber (GF) surfaces which have been treated with silanesand titanates under different conditions are tested bymeans of XRF (X-Ray Fluorescent spectrometry). And therheological characteristics of the dispersed systemsprepared from the above glass fibers combined withunsaturated polyester resin (UP) are discussed. Theresults show that the rigidity of the internal layers ofsilane coupling agent absorbed by glass surfaces isgreater than the one of the external layers; while theeffect of the titanate coupling agents on the rheolo-gical characteristics of the system is approximatelythe same in each structural layer, that is due to thefact that both the internal and external layers oftitanates on glass surfaces have the similar flexiblestructures.
