千果榄仁是热区较为优质的珍贵用材树种。以德宏州天然千果榄仁林木为材料,采用树干解析法,研究千果榄仁的生长规律和木材物理性状,结果表明43年树龄的千果榄仁年平均高生长为0.898m,年平均胸径生长量为1.0cm,年材积生长量为0.0514m3。其材积计算公式为, Y=0.16X1-0.165X2-0.038X12-0.024X22+0.062X1 X2。材性特征分析表明,千果榄仁密度为0.475g/cm3,通过与秃杉的各项材性特征进行比较,千果榄仁的材质密度、抗压强度和硬度均比常见的优质用材树种秃杉高。本研究结果表明,该树种生长速度较快,材性较好,可作为优良的珍贵用材树种进行大面积栽培。%This study was conducted to identify the growth rule and wood property of Terminalia myriocarpa, which is a kind of precious timber tree in tropical areas. A 43 years old tree naturally grew in Dehong prefecture of Yunnan province was chosen to conducted the stem analysis, the results showed that the annual average growth of tree height, DBH (Diameter at Breast Height) and volume were 0. 898 m, 1cm and 0. 051 4 m3 respectively. The volume calcu-lation formula was developed to be Y=0. 16X1-0. 165X2-0. 038X1 2-0. 024X2 2+0. 062X1 X2 . The results of wood anal-ysis indicated that the wood basic density of T. myriocarpa was 0. 475 g/cm3 , It was found that the density, compres-sive strength and hardness of timber of T. myriocarpa were higher than Taiwania flousiana. Based on stem analysis, it was concluded that T. myriocarpa was a promising timber used tree species characterized by fast growing and good timber quality, and recommended to be a precious timber use species suitable for artificial cultivation.
