In 2018,the Journal of Sport and Health Science published an opinion article by Uvinha et all that introduced the readers to the BRICS Council of Exercise and Sport Science(BRICSCESS).BRICS is an acronym coined in 2010 to reflect the first letter of 5 nations with emerging economies:Brazil,Russia,India,China,and South Africa.
