From the autumn,1965 through the autumn,1966,the dispute about the“two s1ogans”car-ried on in Shanghai Left-wing 1iterary and art circ1es is one carried on in the estab1ishment of the nation-a1 anti-Japanese united front of 1iterary and art circ1es,and one with far-reaching inf1uence. And as it is,too,a very important and 1ong-existing controversia1 issue in the study on contemporary Chinese 1it-erature and Lu Xun,it is necessary to sort out the historica1 data about it,and faithfu11y introduce the po-sitions and views of the two sides so as to make an objective ana1yses and eva1uation.%1965年秋至1966年秋上海左翼文艺界发生的“两个口号”论争，是在建立文艺界抗日民族统一战线过程中发生的论争，影响至为深远。它也是中国现代文学研究和鲁迅研究中一个十分重要而长期存在争议的课题，因而有必要对这次论争中的史料进行认真梳理，如实介绍双方的立场和观点，客观全面地作出分析和评价。
