Embryo implantation is a complex physiological process, which depends on synchronized embryo development and uterus into the receptive stage. The receptivity of uterus to active embryos is the key step for embryo implantation. The establishment of uterine receptivity involves in morphological changes of luminal epithelium, steroid hormones, various cytokines, micro-RNAs and other factors. This review summarizes the latest advances in the studies on uterine receptivity and its molecular regulation.
