The authors set up an experimental model of animals by pouringEGb through the throats of two groups of rats and then making one group swim for a proper period and another swim for an exhausting period. The activities of GSH-Px of their blood are examined. It turns out that the activities of GSH-Px are much higher than their respective contrasti ve group. Therefore EGb can alleviate the effect of endogenous free radical on rats produced by exercise. EGb plays a very impratant role against the effect of free radical and lipis poeroxide.
